Our supervisors come from a range of backgrounds and experiences and are equipped to hold you in the Love of God with compassion as you engage with your situation. They are committed to empower and equip you with skills and support.

Joan Wright Howie

Joan Wright HowieJoan Wright Howie embraces life with playful enthusiasm and gentle attention to the Sacred. She is the minister of the Habitat Uniting Church in Hawthorn and Canterbury.

As part of her ministry, Joan provides spiritual direction, supervision and retreat leadership. The holding space she invites practicing the art of attending to the presence of God.

Joan's qualifications include BA, BTheology, MA in spiritual direction, Graduate Certificate in Supervision and the life experience of the joys and sorrows that unfold in marriage, friendship and parenting.

Marcel Koper

Macel KoperMarcel Koper has a MSW, a postgrad dip in gestalt therapy as well as Dips in drug and alcohol work and other areas. He has studied and researched the effectiveness of clinical supervision and has lived part of his life as a missionary in the Catholic Church.

Marcel has a wealth of spiritual formation and is informed largely by his experience of a need for ongoing and regular supervision for all carers.

Marcel has been supervising clergy and people in Christian ministry for many years, now in his private practice. He has been working in the helping professions for over 15 years in counseling and critical incident.

Peter Ross

Peter RossPeter Ross has been a psychologist and psychotherapist for many years. However his deepest interest is in spirituality, which he has explored from different faith perspectives and depth psychology over the years.

For the past 15 years, Peter has been involved in a contemplative practice group, which provides the experiential context for his current reflections and understandings.

Peter's work has led him to understand that spirituality requires incarnation and that ego needs to be placed within the perspective of the spiritual if we are to realize our full humanity.
